About Dr. Ron Panvini

I have been in private practice as a psychotherapist in New York City since 1988, with a current office in Nassau County, Long Island. I also provide online therapy sessions.

I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist, a member of the New York Society for Bioenergetic Analysis, and a voting member of both The International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis and the American Psychological Association.

As a Psychologist at New York’s Bellevue Hospital, I worked at The Greenhouse, a renowned residential treatment program for psychiatric patients who were active substance abusers. In addition, I am honored to have served on the Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture.

During my career as a songwriter, singer and actor, I discovered Bioenergetic Therapy and developed a method to enhance vocal expression by integrating Bioenergetic bodywork and singing. I have presented workshops extensively in New York City and throughout the world and worked with thousands of people privately and in groups. My work has been chronicled in The Chicago Tribune and the magazines Self, American Woman, and Women’s World.

My experience in the performing arts has been a great asset in my practice of the art of psychotherapy, deepening my understanding and feeling for human expression. The integration of this background with my clinical training and years of experience as a psychotherapist enables me to help others find resolution and healing for a broad range of emotional issues.
